Summary #summary

Our products are digital readings and reports written on demand, so there is nothing to return. We refund duplicate, failed and unauthorised charges in full. Unspent credits are refunded on request. The one subscription can be cancelled at any time and runs to the end of the period already paid. Everything below is the detail.

One-time reports #one-time-reports

Becoming Here's Place Profile ($2.95 USD) and Comparison ($7.95 USD); Becoming Choice's reports ($15.00 and $25.00 USD).

• A report is written and delivered immediately when you return from checkout, so a delivered report is not returnable.
• We refund in full, on request within 30 days, if you were charged twice for the same report, the report was never delivered, or you did not authorise the purchase.
• Other requests are considered case by case. Write to us and say what went wrong.
• A refund or a dispute stops the report from being written again. A copy already saved on your device stays there.

Credits #credits

Becoming Choice's transit credits and chart reading credits.

• Credits never expire.
• Unspent credits are refunded on request, in proportion to what you paid for them. Spent credits are not refunded.
• A refund or a chargeback removes the credits it covers. If those credits were already spent, the balance goes below zero and no further readings are written until it is settled.
• If a reading fails to write, its credit is returned automatically and you are charged nothing more.

Subscriptions #subscriptions

Transits on Becoming Choice, $30.00 USD a month.

• Renews each month on the date you first subscribed, until you cancel. No free trials.
• Each billing period includes three transit readings. Included readings that are not used expire with the period.
• Cancelling stops the next charge. Access continues to the end of the period already paid, and no partial refund is given for the remaining days.
• A renewal charge is refunded in full on request within 7 days if none of that period's included readings were used.
• Transit credit packs are sold only to subscribers. Credits already bought remain yours after the subscription ends.

1. Email support@thekaster.com with the date and amount of the last charge. We cancel within one business day and confirm by email.

There are no accounts, so there is nothing to log in to on the product site itself.

How refunds are paid #how-refunds-are-paid

• Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. Most appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
• If the original card has been closed, your bank routes the refund to the replacement account.
• If you paid in a currency other than US dollars, the refund is issued in the currency you paid, for the amount you paid.
• A discounted purchase is refunded at the amount actually paid.

Promotions #promotions

Discounts are Stripe promotion codes entered at checkout. One code per purchase. The expiry date and redemption limit are stated wherever the code is offered. Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged. A refund of a discounted purchase returns the amount paid.

Before you dispute #before-you-dispute

A dispute filed with your bank takes several weeks to resolve. It removes any credits the charge paid for, and the reading will not be written again. See Charge on your statement for every amount we can charge and how the line reads.

To ask for a refund, email support@thekaster.com with the date, the amount and the last four digits of the card. You do not need a receipt, but forwarding it helps. We answer within one business day.

Free. Nothing is charged, so there is nothing to refund.

Place Profile and Comparison are one-time reports; the one-time reports rule applies. There are no credits and no subscription. A refund stops the profile from being written again; a copy already on your device stays there.
